What is with J.R. Smith? He just can’t seem to stay focused on the game of basketball, so he reverts to practical jokes.
Apparently he hasn’t learned his lesson from the shoelace incident for which he was fined $50,000 for what the league called “recurring instances of unsportsmanlike conduct”. The hefty fine has appeared to have no change in J.R.’s behavior as he was up to his old tricks against the Dallas Mavericks. This time he graduated to a headband, Vince Carter’s to be exact. With 11 minutes to go in a close game, he chose to play around with Vince as opposed to focusing on the game; one in which they went on to lose in heartbreaking fashion by 2 points.
Once again this is unacceptable and uncalled for behavior from the former 6th man of the year. His immaturity and ridiculous antics are intolerable, especially in regards to the shape of the Knicks. Perhaps if J.R. dedicated all the energy he spent Shaqtin A Fool on his game the Knicks could be better. It’s no secrets he’s been slipping this year and with all his extracurricular activities it’s obvious why.
